Key Scripture References & Descriptions
1. The First Promise of Redemption
Genesis 3:15
The earliest announcement of the gospel. God promises that a future offspring of the woman will crush the serpent’s head. This sets the trajectory of redemptive history.
2. Covenant Lineage of the Messiah
God reveals the family line and kingly identity of the Savior through the great covenants of Scripture:
-
Genesis 12:3 — All nations will be blessed through Abraham’s seed.
-
Genesis 49:10 — A ruler will arise from the tribe of Judah.
-
2 Samuel 7:12–16 — An everlasting throne will be established through David’s line.
