Devotional
Pray that God will pour out his Spirit and work miracles for his glory.
Devotional Thought
A miracle is an unusual manifestation of God’s power by which he glorifies himself and causes wonder and amazement among people. Miracles can take various forms, such as miraculous healings, supernatural interventions in the natural world, or events that defy logical explanation. God sometimes performs miracles to reveal his love and power or to confirm the ministries of his servants (e.g., Moses, Elijah, or Jesus). We cannot demand miracles from God, but we can expect him to work in extraordinary ways when he determines that it is necessary to do so.
Practical Moment
Below is a short prayer for miracles.
“Heavenly Father, we honor you and celebrate your wonderful plan of salvation. We ask you to stretch forth your hand to heal, deliver, and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus. We know that you can work in ordinary and extraordinary ways, so we put our trust in you to meet us at our point of need and cause all things to align with your divine will. Please reveal your love and power to us today. Amen.”
