I want to encourage those of you who may be struggling with some sort of sin issue. I want to encourage you that there is freedom for you. If you are not saved, then your first step is to give your heart to Jesus Christ. If you are saved then you need to accept the fact that you have been made the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ. The Word also tells you to reckon yourself dead to sin. In other words, adjust your thinking to the fact that you are dead to sin. Sin cannot stimulate a dead person. When Christ died on the cross, the power of sin over your life died with him. When Christ was raised from the dead, you were raised with Him to a new life free from the power of sin. Therefore, you need to accept this fact in your heart.
Deliverance comes from “appropriation.” When you “appropriate” something, you make it your own. When you appropriate something from God’s Word, you not only accept it as true generally, but you also accept it as true in your own life. When you begin to believe and to accept the truth that your individual freedom has already been established in Christ, it will begin to affect your behavior. You may have to keep reminding yourself of your victory, but if you do so, you will eventually see this victory manifested in your experience. Don’t lose heart because of your struggle. God will never leave nor forsake you. He will complete the good work that he has begun in you.

You can overcome sin by reminding yourself of the victory you have in Christ. Here are several ways of doing this:
•Writing it down
•Recite it to yourself in mind and to speak it out your mouth and act on it.
to overcome sin, we also need to experience God. This can help by:
• reading your bible
• praying
• Worshiping God
• Listening to Christian Music
• Attending church
• Getting involved in church ministries
• Volunteering
