Scripture
“Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name.”
—Psalm 86:11 (NKJV)
Reflection
There are times when we need to return to the Lord with fresh intention and renewed surrender. A prayer of recommitment is a way of placing ourselves before God again and saying, “Lord, I am Yours.” It is a response of love, obedience, and gratitude. We remember His mercy, and we offer our lives back to Him.
This kind of prayer grows out of honesty and devotion. We come before God and place every part of our lives in His hands again. We bring Him our hearts, our plans, our habits, our desires, and our future. Where we have drifted, He calls us back. Where our love has cooled, He can renew us. As we yield ourselves to Him, He meets us with grace and helps us walk in a way that honors Him.
Prayer
Lord, we come to You today to give ourselves to You again.
Thank You for Your mercy, Your patience, and Your faithfulness.
Thank You for not giving up on us.
Where we have wandered, draw us back.
Where we have grown lukewarm, renew our hearts.
Where we have held back from full obedience, help us yield ourselves to You.
We place our lives before You again.
We offer You our hearts, our minds, our desires, and our plans.
Renew our love for You.
Strengthen our desire to please You.
Fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit, and help us walk closely with You.
Keep us steady, keep us faithful, and lead us in Your ways.
Let our thoughts, our choices, and our actions reflect that we belong to You.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Take a Moment
