Scripture
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”
—Romans 12:1
Reflection
Surrender is not a loss of dignity or purpose. It is a response of trust. We place our lives before God not because we are passive, but because we believe His will is wiser, deeper, and better than our own.
Many of us want God’s blessings while still quietly clinging to control. But spiritual growth often begins where self-rule ends. This prayer invites us to let go and say yes again to God's leadership.
Prayer
Lord, we place our lives before You again.
We surrender our plans, our desires, and our expectations.
We release control and choose to trust You fully.
Take every part of our lives—our thoughts, our decisions, and the paths we choose each day.
Shape us according to Your will.
Where we’ve been resisting You, give us grace to let go.
Where we’ve been hesitant, give us the courage to trust You more deeply.
We don’t just want Your blessings—we want Your leadership.
Empower us by the Holy Spirit to become more like Jesus.
Lead us in Your will, and make our lives pleasing in Your sight.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
