Scripture
“He who walks with integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will become known.”

“Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name.”

Reflection
Integrity means living with an undivided heart before God. It means being truthful before God and sincere in the way we live. A person of integrity is not torn between appearance and reality, between public life and private life, or between what is professed and what is practiced. Integrity does not mean perfection, but it does mean honesty, consistency, and a heart that wants to walk uprightly before God.
This kind of life does not happen by accident. We need God to unite our hearts and help us walk in truth. We need His grace to resist compromise, hidden sin, hypocrisy, and double-mindedness. A prayer for integrity asks God to make us whole on the inside so that our words, choices, and conduct reflect what is true. It is a prayer to be the same person before God, in private, and in public.
Prayer
Father, we come before You asking for integrity.
Make us honest before You and steady in our walk with You.
Let there be no gap between who we appear to be and who we really are.
Unite our hearts before You.
Where we are pulled in different directions, make us whole.
Where we are tempted to compromise, make us strong.
Keep us from hypocrisy, pretense, and double-mindedness.
Help us to love truth in the inward parts.
Teach us to walk honestly before You in every area of life.
Let our private lives honor You.
Let our public lives reflect You.
Let our words, choices, and habits come from a heart that is sincere.
When we are tempted to cut corners, hold us steady.
When we are tempted to hide, bring us into the light.
When we are tempted to live for appearance, turn our hearts back to what is real.
Thank You that You are able to make us whole.
Shape in us a life of honesty, faithfulness, and integrity.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
