Scripture
“Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
and His greatness is unsearchable.”
—Psalm 145:3
Reflection
Worship begins with remembering who God is. Before we bring our needs, our burdens, or our questions, we pause to honor the Lord for His greatness. He is holy, faithful, wise, and good. He is worthy of our attention, our affection, and our praise.
This kind of prayer reorients the heart. It lifts our eyes above ourselves and reminds us that God is not small, distant, or uncertain. He is near, and He is worthy. As you begin this journey toward Pentecost, let worship be your starting place.
Prayer
Today, we offer a prayer of worship.
Lord, we come before You today simply to honor You.
You are holy, You are faithful, and You are good.
Before we ask You for anything, we pause to recognize who You are.
You are the Creator of heaven and earth.
You are the One who sustains us, who keeps us, and who has carried us this far.
And we acknowledge that our lives are not our own—they belong to You.
Receive our praise today.
Re-center our hearts on Your greatness.
And teach us to delight in Your presence.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Take a Moment
Take a few quiet seconds and simply tell God who He is to you.
I hope today's post has been a blessing to you. Have a wonderful day.
Blessings,
