Scriptures
Romans 12:1-2; John 8:31-32; 1 John 5:14-15
Prayer Focus
Commit to holy living, following God’s Word, and doing his will.
Devotional Thought
In order to please God, each of us must present ourselves to him as a living and holy sacrifice. This act of worshipful surrender requires us to commit ourselves to a daily diet of God’s Word. Engaging with Scripture is a requirement for following Jesus. The truth of God’s Word renews our minds and brings spiritual victory and freedom when we obey it. God’s Word also informs us what his will is. As we commit ourselves to God’s will and walk in obedience, we will experience continued spiritual growth and fruitful prayer lives.
