As Mother's Day approaches, I find myself reflecting on the remarkable woman who shaped my life with her love, wisdom, and grace. Glendolyn Kathleen Graves, my beloved mother, evangelist, and beacon of faith, continues to inspire me and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on July 26, 1949, my mother left an indelible mark not only on my life but also on the lives of our family, friends, and the broader community. She possessed tremendous wisdom, insight, and kindness, with a gentle disposition and an insatiable love for God's Word.
From the earliest days of my childhood, my mother's love and devotion were palpable. Alongside my father, she was deeply involved in ministry, traveling throughout the Southern United States, spreading the message of faith and salvation through evangelistic preaching and music. Their commitment to serving others laid the foundation for my own journey into ministry, a path I continue to walk with gratitude and reverence for my parents' legacy.
My mother's approach to parenting was characterized by love, time, Godly wisdom, and a keen understanding of children's needs and thought processes. She cultivated a bond with me that transcended the typical parent-child relationship, becoming my best friend and confidant as I grew older.
I fondly remember the quality time spent with my mother, whether it was reading bedtime stories, playing games, or sharing moments of laughter and joy. Her unwavering support and encouragement were evident throughout my life, from helping with homework and attending school events to celebrating my academic achievements and milestones.
Despite facing significant health challenges, including high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, and kidney disease, my mother remained steadfast in her faith and resilience. Her peaceful demeanor and unwavering trust in God served as a source of inspiration to all who knew her, reminding us of the power of perseverance and the assurance of God's presence in times of trial.
My mother's generosity knew no bounds, despite not being wealthy in material possessions. She enriched the lives of those around her with her love, kindness, and unwavering faith. Her deep love for the Lord was evident in every aspect of her life, from her heartfelt prayers to her soul-stirring songs of worship.
In addition to her role as a mother and evangelist, my mother played a pivotal role in shaping my spiritual journey, offering prophetic guidance and encouragement that helped me discern my calling into ministry. Her words of wisdom and insight left an indelible mark on my heart, guiding me along the path of service and devotion to God.
On September 19, 2013, my mother's passing left a void in my heart and in the hearts of our family members and friends. Though she left us too soon, her legacy of love, faith, and resilience lives on, inspiring us to live our lives with purpose and devotion.
As I reflect on my mother's life and the lessons learned from her, I find solace in the knowledge that death is not the end but a promotion into eternity for those who believe in Christ's victory over death. May her memory continue to shine brightly, illuminating the path for all who seek to walk in the footsteps of love and faith.
On this Mother's Day, I honor the memory of Glendolyn Kathleen Graves—a woman of faith, strength, and grace—whose life exemplified the true meaning of motherhood. May her legacy continue to inspire and guide us for generations to come.

Such a beautiful tribute and reflection of your mother. She truly was an amazing woman in her own right and because she guided you to be the wonderful man that you are! Of course I may be a bit biased.
