Ask God for wisdom and faith to face trials and discover his will.

Devotional Thought
Wisdom is the ability to choose the right goals and the correct path to achieve those goals. Faith is an unwavering trust in God that causes us to believe and respond positively to his Word. Sometimes the intensity of trials can cause us to make foolish and rash decisions. However, God wants us to trust him rather than taking matters into our own hands. His sovereign will and divine plans are always best. Taking shortcuts will ultimately lead to pain and destruction. When you seek God with a committed heart, he has promised to give you wisdom to navigate the difficulties of life. Following God is not always easy, but he will give you the grace and strength to do. Are you willing to come to God in faith and accept the pathway that he lays out for you? God has every resource to enable you to succeed in life!

Practical Moment
What trials are you facing right now that require God’s wisdom? Pray this simple prayer:

“Dear God, with a humble heart and an attitude of reverence, I ask you to grant me wisdom to face the trials I am facing. You are greater than my circumstances and I know that you love me. You proved your love when you sent your Son to earth. Therefore, I come to you in faith. I put my full trust in you and ask confidently for you to reveal your holy and sovereign will. I also commit myself to your divine plans instead of relying on my own limited thinking. I open my heart to your Word, to wise counsel, and to the leading of the Holy Spirit. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.”
