On January 1st of each year, millions of people make New Year's resolutions. Some people promise themselves to lose weight. Others may desire to spend more time with family members and friends. Still others seek to quit smoking or to get more organized. My question for you today is: "How's it going?" What progress have you made toward the realization of your goals this year? At your current pace, where will you be at the end of 2024? If you are pleased with your progress, then I want to commend you on a job well done. Keep up the good work! If you have not yet made much progress, then I would like to encourage you to think about setting a realistic goal that is both manageable and measurable. For example, if you did not read your Bible all last year, then it is unlikely that you will all of a sudden read twenty chapters per day. Start out with one or two chapters until you develop some consistency. If you desire to lose weight, start by cutting down on snacks and sweets. Eat more green vegetables and add some moderate exercise to your daily routine. These changes will help you more in the long run than a crash diet or one of those extreme exercise programs on TV. My point: start small and build consistency. Don't procrastinate. Each long journey begins with a positive step in the right direction. I challenge you take the first step. Have a blessed day.
Blessings,
