Introduction:
Healing is one of the most profound ways God reveals His nature to us. Throughout Scripture, we see that God is our Healer, and He has made His healing power known to His people in various ways. In the Old Testament, God introduced Himself as YHWH Rapha, the Lord who heals. In the New Testament, through Jesus Christ, this healing power is revealed even more clearly as He conquers sin, sickness, and death. Today, through the work of the Holy Spirit, God continues to distribute gifts of healing to His people. This prayer calls upon God to manifest His healing grace in our lives as we trust Him for physical, emotional, and spiritual restoration.
Prayer for Healing
Heavenly Father, we come before You in awe of Your majesty, recognizing You as YHWH, the eternal and self-existent God. Hallowed be Your name. You are not only the Creator of heaven and earth, but You have also revealed Yourself to us as YHWH Rapha, the Lord who heals. We declare this truth with confidence, knowing that Your healing power has been made known throughout history. As You revealed Yourself as Healer in the Old Testament, we see Your healing work even more clearly in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We worship You for Your unfailing love and mercy, knowing that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. You are worthy of all praise.
We proclaim Your name above every illness and condition. There is no name higher than Yours, O Lord. Your name is greater than cancer, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, chronic respiratory diseases, including asthma and COPD, arthritis, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, kidney disease, autoimmune disorders, thyroid conditions, gastrointestinal issues, fibroids, osteoporosis, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, Alzheimer’s disease, sleep disorders, and sexual dysfunction. No condition is beyond Your power. You are our refuge, fortress, and deliverer, and we rest in Your healing presence.
Lord Jesus, we honor You as the fulfillment of YHWH Rapha. Through Your earthly ministry, You healed the sick, brought sight to the blind, and life to the dead. By Your wounds, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). You revealed God’s healing nature, and through Your sacrifice, You conquered sin, sickness, and death. We declare that every illness must bow to Your name. We place our trust in You, our Savior and Healer, who now reigns in glory at the right hand of the Father.
We thank You, Lord, for the healings You have already performed and for the miracles yet to come. Bless the Lord, O my soul, who forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:2-3). You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your grace and mercy.
Holy Spirit, we welcome You, our Comforter and Helper. You distribute gifts of healing to the people of God, manifesting the power of the risen Christ in our midst. We ask You to release Your healing gifts now, touching hearts, minds, and bodies. We trust in Your mighty power to restore what is broken, and we wait on You with faith and expectation.
As we wait for healing, we ask for Your peace, O Lord, that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Grant peace to the weary, the anxious, and those waiting on Your perfect timing. We trust that You are working all things for our good and Your glory, knowing that Your love never fails.
We speak Your name, Jesus, over every disease and declare healing in Your mighty name. We believe in Your power to heal and stand on the truth of Your Word. You are our Healer, and Your name is greater than all sickness.
We give You all the honor, glory, and praise. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Healer, we pray. Amen.

Elder Graves Quoted in Paragraph 7
My Respond:
September 24, 2024 West Angeles Cogic through the bible zoom meeting I had a chance to verbally participate and brought to attention of question that in times of trouble God in old testament would let his chosen people Israel,Judah to be handed over in times of war to different tribes and lands not obeying God.
In verses John 14:27, John 16:33 emphasizes peace in Jesus amidst (today’s customs) world troubles how to have peace and overcome giving you confidence to have faith.
John 14:27 KJV
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 16:33 KJV
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
4. How does the work of the Holy Spirit give you confidence that healing is still available to us today?
My Answer:
It gives confidence The Holy Spirit allows you to be set free from fear and to speak, see and listen and be just giving you confidence to have what the Word of God says you will have.
