Ephesians 2:8-10 is a beautiful passage about the wonderful salvation that believers have in Christ. Verse 10 reads: “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” The word “workmanship” (Greek: poiema) can also be translated “masterpiece.” Christians are God’s masterpiece because we are a new creation in Christ. God has taken great care in preparing us to reflect his divine character and action. He expects us do the things which bring glory and honor to him and that advance his purposes in the earth.
