QUESTION: Why do some Christians not receive miraculous healing when they pray for it?
ANSWER: Miraculous healing is only one of many ways that God works. God works through doctors, through diet and exercise, through consistent prayer, and through a variety of other ways. He heals instantly, progressively, or in manners that are somewhat different from what we may expect. God wants us to trust him and to seek his wisdom so that we can find our individual pathway to wholeness. Even if God does not heal us in the way that we would choose, his choice will be what is best for us. The lack of miraculous healing shouldn't be viewed as a lack of faith or God's indifference, but rather as part of a broader understanding of God's workings and his plans for individuals' well-being.
