Prayer is personal communication with God in worship. Through prayer we contact God and learn to relate to him. Prayer provides us with the opportunity to fellowship with God and to receive guidance and direction from him. God also meets our needs through prayer and allows us to join with him to accomplish his plans. The fundamental requirement of effective prayer is to pray according to the will of God.
