Do you need a fresh start in your life? Then today can be your new beginning! Our God can cause a turnaround in your life at this very moment if you will allow him to do so. It is never too late to receive what God desires to bring into our lives. Consider the following verses of Scripture that reveal his intent to save, to heal, to restore, and to bless.
Job 8:7
Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would increase abundantly.
Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 43:18-19
18 “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Lamentations 3:22-24
22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. 24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I hope in Him!”
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Revelation 21:5
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
These verses are only a small sampling of God's promises to bring new beginnings into the lives of those who love him. Some of these promises, of course, are for a later historical phase of God's dealings with his people. However, all of these promises give us a glimpse into God's good intent for us. Do you desire to appropriate these promises for yourself? Then run to God in faith and trust. Make a conscious decision to place yourself in his hands, to receive his unconditional love, to seek his wisdom and guidance, and to obey his holy commands. God cares for you intensely and personally. Allow him to reveal himself to you wherever you are spiritually, emotionally, or physically. You will never be the same! Today can be your new beginning!
