I have been meditating recently on Ephesians. This biblical letter consists of two sections. The first section is an exposition of what the church is (i.e., the believer’s position in Christ)—DOCTRINE. The second section is an exhortation concerning all that membership in the church involves (i.e., the conduct of believers in the world)—PRAXIS. I encourage you to spend some time reading and studying this powerful epistle. One verse sums up the entire book; Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” The word "workmanship" (Greek: poiema) can also be translated "masterpiece." Christians are God's masterpiece because we are a new creation in Christ. God has taken great care in preparing us to reflect his divine character and action. He expects us do the things which bring glory and honor to him and that advance his purposes in the earth. It is a humbling reality that God seeks to reproduce himself in us. Are you ready to become his agent of salvation? I invite you to read a longer article which I wrote on Ephesians 2:10. To access it, please CLICK HERE. God bless you.
